Our 5 year Golden must have read the book about Golden temperaments--He exhibits every single trait attributed to Goldens.
One that has always puzzled me is his insistence on grabbing a toy, sock, whatever before he greets people. If I call Kyle (his name), he first looks around for a sock or a toy, grabs it and then comes to me. Does this with almost anyone he greets.
Does anyone know why Goldens do this and what they seem to be thinking in doing so? He doesn't drop the sock, toy as he comes to us, he just keeps it in his mouth. Often he will grab 2 or 3 items--a couple of socks, a toy and again just come over and keep them in house mouth.
