Look at Heads Up Kennels in BC. They have beautiful dogs. They are associated with Janet (?) Gunn, TNT Kennels in the same area. There is a female in our area from them, named "Zinga" (on their website) she is a really nice dog.

They were on my list if my Hootie puppy didn't pan out. Another breeder with nice dogs but not in your area you mentioned are the Miners.

I know nothing of this breeder as far as how often they breed or if they do all necessary health clearances (although at a glance it appears that they do), but looking quickly at their website the have dogs out of very nice field lines and they are in Montana.

Barb Loree is very nice, she's got some nice dogs. We train with her now and then and she's been quite helpful. When she's in Alberta she's in the Calgary area, so that's not far....

 

I second Zaniri. They produce wonderful dogs, including most of the SAR dogs in BC. There are two in my neighbourhood, the best Goldens around by far. One is a SAR in training, the other just a regular pet. We inquired about getting a pup from them but she noted that we'd be better off with a show line golden since we wanted to do therapy work. They breed rarely though. Good luck!

 

TNT is very good. If you're looking as far east as Montana don't forget Sungold.
