We give our Golden a small amount of peanut butter as an occasional treat. We
wanted to know if you avoid peanut butter which contains hydrogenated oil.
Do you recommend only natural peanut butter which does not contain this
ingredient. Thank you very much.

I bought a jar of peanut butter for dogs and the ingredient was peanuts. But, I found the peanut butter to be very runny/liquidy. Maybe this was a one-off or is this standard? If so, how do you work with it being so gloopy?

@GoldenDude - I set the jar on top of my espresso machine overnight to warm. In the morning I pour half the oil into a cup, then use a long narrow spoon (the kind used with ice cream sundaes) to work the remaining oil into the peanut butter. Once that’s mixed I add the remainder of the oil and work it in. With warm PB it takes about five minutes. Once mixed it goes in the fridge and it doesn’t separate.

I don’t give mine peanut butter enough to worry about the oil. Most important thing to me would be making sure it’s not sugar free.

I think you must mean making sure it doesn't have artificial sweetener in it. That's definitely important, too. But sugar-free is fine.
