Can't recommend bc I'm looking as well. Currently looking at the ones that attach to sliding patio doors by Petsafe. You can buy them at Home Depot, PetSmart etc. I'm reading many folks install a storm door with a pre installed doggy door. Can't recall if those are the brands you are looking at.

 

Thank you for your reply. I did look at a storm door with a pet door as well, but it didn't seem like an energy efficient idea. Would it be better to have the dog door in the storm door, and keep the main door open from morning to evening, ----or---- would it be better to have the storm door in the main door, and keep the storm door open from morning to evening?
Since storm doors aren't as energy efficient, keeping the main door open at all times and have only the storm door to protect from the heat/cold doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Of course, I could be wrong here

I found one on Craigslist for free. It's similar to this Patsafe patio panel It's a large opening and it works well. We do take it in at night or if it's windy if the flap stays open. It took very little time for the dogs to get used to it.
