My 8 month old sometimes chews the corners of walls including the wooden baseboards when we are gone at work. I come home between my 8 hour work day to let him outside and a few times he has chewed the baseboards and wall(ALWAYS on outward facing corners!). After we see this he goes in the crate the next few weeks while we're at work then try again and he keeps messing it up!
The thing is if we go on a short errand (less than 3 hours) on the weekend, he is fine. It's almost like he knows we are at work. Also he gets either his kong toy with treats, rawhide, or a few other toys to play with. We also tried the bitter spray but it seemed to have dried up and he may do it anyway.
How can I stop this? I'm guessing it's boredom or maybe just being a puppy?
Thanks!
