Trip has an ant head on his tongue

Ok so we can all agree that golden retrievers are total goofballs, right? Well, for some reason, Trip loves to harass any black carpenter ants that haplessly wander into our house with his nose and then lick them. Problem is that the ant's mandibles tend to grip onto his tongue, and even when the body is swallowed, the head stays attached to his tongue. For days. Or at least until either me or my husband finally picks it off. Right now, Trip has an ant head attached to his tongue.

This is the second time this has happened.

That is the most bizarre thing I have ever heard! Goofy boy.

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
