My agency provides Christmas gifts for children. This afternoon, after work, I was to meet a lady in a parking lot to transfer the bag of gifts from my car to hers. Brooks was in the back seat and the huge bag of gifts in a brightly colored Christmas bag was on the floor of the front passenger seat (but the bag was like 3 ft high).
The lady was supposed to come without her kids, but ended up coming with them. So since the kids weren't supposed to see the bag of toys, she suggested I go stand by the back window and talk to her kids while she moved the toy bag to the trunk of her car.
So I'm standing there talking to her kids and then I see Brooks running around the parking lot. HUH????
I look over and see the BACK door of my car is wide open!!! What?
Luckily Brooks runs to me (instead of into the street which we are standing right next to) and I grab him and put him back in the car.
I say to her, "How did he get out?"
She says, "Oh, I thought the presents were in the back seat"
Ummm, you can't look through the car window and see that is a DOG not a bag of toys? And why did you then leave the door wide open?
Really, I just don't get it.
