It's that happy time of year again, when the Veterinary Practice News Annual X-Ray Contest winners are announced. Every year this organization proves to us that animals can eat just about anything and survive!
AAAAAAAAAND THE WINNER IS. . . : Cody, a 10-month-old, 58-pound golden retriever, who ate the light bulb, which passed intact after a day on intravenous fluids.

So check out the contest winners, and runners up. . .and meet some pretty interesting critters, like the Great Dane who ate 43 1/2 socks!:

we pick up some amazing things in the yards here at the pet hotel. I think the strangest EVER was a popsicle stick. Not broken or bent, a whole popsicle stick (yes, embedded in poop).
Another funny one was a pair of lacey pink panties, whole. The husband and wife came together to pick up the dogs, and we told them what we had found. <<pregnant pause>> wife says, "I don't OWN any pink panties!!!"
