I was browsing through the "Things my vet had told me that might help others" thread in health and anatomy.

Puddin**** (I forget exactly) got information on swollen lymph nodes and asked how big they should be. Her Rusty's were as big as a nickle. She took hum in the next week and he is being treated for lymphoma and is in remission (Hooray!).

I have to find out where the nodes are now and check my guy's. Rusty might have been checked anyway, but I think this got his treatment started sooner and the sooner the better!

yes, I had told my vet that because of his advice, a golden was diagnosed early and hopefully his life was saved! This forum is just awesome!

Coppers Mom,

That was ME and my beautiful boy, Rusty!!!

I don't even want to think what would have happened had I not been on the lookout. Before I came to this forum I never realized how much cancer our sweet Golden's get... :(

I am so thankful that I found this terrific forum and became a little more informed. It may very well prolong my sweet boys life!!!

This forum is amazing. I too learned alot on this forum, and because of information I read here, when my young dog's kidney values were high on bloodwork, I knew enough to not listen to my former vets insistance that since Mad had normal blood readings in her pre-spay blood work that she was born with normal kidneys. Went to a specialist, who diagnosed her with renal dysplasia, and with early treatment we are definately improving the quality and prolonging her life.

This forum provides amazing knowledge and support.
