I love the squishy forehead, eyebrow bit of it but his lips! His bottom one on the sides hangs down a bit, therefore leaving places for drool to escape! He slobbers and foams like like a Snt Bernard. So I'm wondering...will he grow into it or do I have a Beethoven golden retriever? Hmm.

I believe those are his flews -- did I spell that correctly? They're like gutters. I think some dogs have more pronounced flews and that makes them dribble more, like after they drink water. This picture of Daisy shows her flews rather well ... she's a dribbler too :)

Some dogs definitely have heavier flews. I'd take a look at some pictures of Max's sire and/or dam. That's probably the best way to figure out what Max might grow out of/into.

LOL we call them "fangs." It's best when they get them and then decide to shake. You play the game of "WHERE DID THEY GO!?" ... looking everywhere. LOL.

btw. Maxie thinks Max is a studly fellow... she has the squishy eyebrows and big flews too. ;)

Bailey drools too at times. I keep a towel at hand to wipe it off. The kids are grossed out by it.lol Max is a beautiful pup. He is perfect the way he is. :D

Misty has long loose lips too....drools like theres no tomorrow and when she drinks theres more water on the floor than I bet went to her stomach. I think its kind of cute... ;)

Dillon's got longer flews than Sam does, yet Sam is the messy drinker

Just wait til Max starts learning that your pant legs make for nice napkins when he's got some drool/water spillage. ;) Sam is constantly coming up to me and wiping his face on me!!
