Murphy whines while he plays, but doesn't really seem upset. Is this bad or is he just using his voice? He's only 8 weeks.

I think it's pretty normal. Our girl did the same thing for a while after we brought her home. Anytime she would pick up a toy she would whine. No clue why. She quit doing it after a few weeks.

Sounds like he's a chatty puppy. Lots of dogs vocalize when they're excited.

It sounds normal to me. Bama was a vocal boy as a baby.
