Good luck to Gatsby on his recovery! It looks like he has no trouble wearing the boots. Did it take him long to adapt to them?
Thank you!
It took about 3 minutes to adjust. Have you ever watched Monty Python -Ministry of silly walks? When I put the boots on it kind of looked like Ministry of silly walks and I had my doubts. But then I opened the trunk of my car, they run and all was ok. Here is an old picture when I introduced the boots, boys don't look too confident. These boots are savers, ice balls between the pads drive them and myself nuts. The walks are ruined as the dogs refuse to walk with ice balls and I am too cold to constantly remove them.

I had to look up that Monty Python video on YouTube - absolutely hilarious and I can sure see how a dog's first steps with boots on would look like that! Those ice balls between the pads are the worst part of winter for Rosie and me. Kudos to you and your boys for making the boots work out so well.

@LucyNoble we will get the privilege of “feels like zero” today but no precip.
I’m a summer person, through and through. If I must endure winter, I’d like some snow please! I’d really like Bitsy to see it for the first time and get to play in it but this doesn’t look like the winter for that!

ETA: I recognize that some of the Canadians among us may consider zero balmy. Viva la difference.

Also, here’s a pic from yesterday. Apparently Bitsy’s pup cup was life-changing, and now I can’t have my own Starbucks without her thinking there’s something in there for her; she recognizes the cup. I had to transfer it to a different mug in order to enjoy it without 👀 …

Guess I need to think about what training goal is next as whipped cream has assumed the throne of high-value treats! (Yes, I know it should be given infrequently and in small quantities).

Yesterday i took both of my dogs for a walk. Not offleash its not a safe place. Then came home each pup took a nap. Then 1 hour of them playing, then a 1 and a half hour 30 minutes invertals offleash run with some fetch. Came back in they were freezing it was 10 degrees. And then some more snow playing. Afterwards Tucker had puppy class(we did a confidence course, which had some agility jumps and tunnels, he loved it. After he got a puzzle toy and had it solved in 3 minutes).Denver had to stay home with a bully stick. I plan on 2 hours 30 minutes each time of running and playing offleash. Some training, and im hoping for the snow to melt away. Ill have to get some pictures.

I bring a can of whip cream to agility class sometimes lol. I’m pretty sure it’s how I’ve gotten her to get better at not abandoning me at the end of the course to take extra obstacles.

Super Treat alert! Whipped cream and that sound of shake/shake and wooosh.

That could get me over a few agility jumps. The dogs would probably prefer liver.

I plan on doing a 10 minute run each today. Then 2 hours of running in the backyard. Its -2 degrees so i think they will only be outside for 10-15 minutes at a time. I need a place for then to swim. Anyone know a way to introduce a puppy to water in the winter?

IrisGold -- beautiful photos -- especially the sepia tone one! Making me wish spring was here.
GoldenRetriever Lover08 -- the bath tub. LOL. We don't swim our dog in winter but many folks do. If our front yard floods or freezes -- we play there. No lake trips for us in winter. Brrrrrrhhh.

Today is making dog treats. Lucy just left for .5day of play at the "Dog Lodge". I miss her already. 😢
