First series was a triple mark, two retired.Go Lily and Jake!! 😀🥳 Were there poison blinds in the open?
A land blind will probably be next. Don't know yet if there will be a poison bird.

If there's a poison bird, I am sure Jake's learnt his lesson from the last time...He's a smart dog and I'm rooting for him..! 💪🏽First series was a triple mark, two retired.

Jake did not get called back after the land blind yesterday. I don't know why.If there's a poison bird, I am sure Jake's learnt his lesson from the last time...He's a smart dog and I'm rooting for him..! 💪🏽
Jake did not call back???!!!!😯😯😯 I have so much to say..!!! Will you ever know at some point why? That's a lot of pros vs owner handler, same in France too.. I am assuming they need the pros to get the dogs to the next level + refine the dog's innate skill/intelligence.. Wishing Jake another successful day tomorrow 💪🏽Jake did not get called back after the land blind yesterday. I don't know why.
Out of 39 dogs that ran, all but 6 were handled by pros.

Jake ran in the am today, very good in the 1st series marks and 2nd series land blind. Water blind in the morning.
Ramses is a pretty boy!Since the weather was really warm and sunny this morning, we all went to Pittock Mansion and Hoyt arboretum to check out a view of Mount Hood. Then we headed to Nob Hill, 5 mins from downtown Portland.. went to shop, had lunch and coffee before heading home. Ramses had a lot of attention the entire day - people asking for pets and someone even wanted a picture with Ramses for their wedding 😂🤣 I never thought of my golden as photography worthy by others... I am afraid all of this is getting into Ramses' head...🤦🏽♀️
He was well behaved and was also allowed into a cafe by the owner but I declined his offer. I felt that it would be disrespectful for service dogs and the training they have to undergo..
However, just as we were leaving to return to our car to go home, he nearly got attacked by an Irish setter which repeatedly lunged at him while barking aggressively. This is the actual first time I heard Ramses bark back and stand his ground - and it was such a loud bark 😯😳 Odd for us because he never barks or returns a bark.. All in all an eventful day for us 😊

I did not ask and probably would've disagreed with the answer anyway. That's the way it goes sometimes. I'm sure not everyone agrees with my judging decisions either.Jake did not call back???!!!!😯😯😯 I have so much to say..!!! Will you ever know at some point why?
Ramses is so handsome!Since the weather was really warm and sunny this morning, we all went to Pittock Mansion and Hoyt arboretum to check out a view of Mount Hood. Ramses is a pretty boy!
He felt the need to tell the Irish Setter to back off.
Thank you for your compliments - we shouldn't inflate the ego of Ramses 🤣 I think Ramses needs to have normal experiences - Not riding in police cars and crashing people's weddings 🤣 I was extremely worried he would trample and trip the beautiful bride in her lovely dress/ruin it with slobber or dirt.. I did clean him with wipes anyway. But she kept telling me it was fine - I really hope he didn't put some dirty paw prints on her dress.. 🫣Ramses is so handsome!
The only time Denver ever barks is if she feels threatened or ajother dog she doesnt like approaches. I don't encourage the barking, but do praise her for standing her ground.
Can you see the remarks of the judges regarding their decision when it's all over? 😯I did not ask and probably would've disagreed with the answer anyway. That's the way it goes sometimes. I'm sure not everyone agrees with my judging decisions either.
Judges typically draw a rough sketch of the tests and what each dog did, when they were handled, etc. If you question why you were not called back it must be through the stake marshal who will then ask the judges. The judges will state a reason but are under no obligation to share their notes. Can you see the remarks of the judges regarding their decision when it's all over? 😯
I am wondering if it's the same in France/Europe.. - if memory serves me well, we are able to understand why the judges decide to not call back a dog. This is so that you can improve the next time but I must clarify this. That's such a pity though that they are under no obligation to reveal their reasons.. I personally detest that because I'm an academic at heart and for me learning from mistakes and debating reasons for judging is important to improve... Admittedly, my thinking here might not be appropriate for field trials.Judges typically draw a rough sketch of the tests and what each dog did, when they were handled, etc. If you question why you were not called back it must be through the stake marshal who will then ask the judges. Jake did well on the water blind and was one of 17 called back to the 4th. His water marks were excellent, only 12 completed the test and 6 of them had to be handled to at least one mark.
Earned Reserve JAM (5th place) for his efforts.
Judges will usually give a reason but it might be vague. That's such a pity though that they are under no obligation to reveal their reasons..
