We went on a early morning run. I accidentally dropped Tuckers leash, and he ran into the cow pasture, luckily the cows were on the other side of the pasture. And i said come, and he came back, but he ran after a bird. Denver was well behaved most of the walk, except trying to eat cow manure. Then we went and looked a a house(it was way to small and there was no yard for the dogs, so it was a no, but there is another one that has almost 1 acre of yard). Then another evening walk, seperated because they dont walk well together unless im running.

That's so typical of them!!! 🤣 There's never enough time to enjoy the snow, the wind, the sun... 😆 Ramses also does the same but we got sleet a couple of days ago and normally he takes his own sweet time when we are returning home from training.. but this time the sleet was quite unpleasant along with the wind and he immediately made a beeline back home 😆🤣 never seen him move quite that fast!

I took them out again just like 3 hours ago, and it was snowing again we were out there for about 1 hour and they definitely wouldnt come in i had to pick Tucker up and force Denver in. My pups dont like sleet either we had it a few weeks ago, it was bad.

Hahahaha 🤣 When I was in the Arctic with Ramses during the winter season, he could spend upwards to 3 hours outside playing in the snow 🤦🏽‍♀️ I always put it down to dog "peer pressure" because the Huskies will be out as well. He would be obstinate about coming back inside unless all the dogs came inside. It sounds like that's the case with Tucker and Denver too! When it's too much fun, it's just so hard to stop! 😆

Since we have a break in the weather, it warmed up and there’s some sun, we went for a walk around the block after I got back from church. Now we’re resting.

She went to the groomers Thursday, thus the bows in her ears. She didn’t want to stay and was so glad when I picked her up. Tomorrow it’s off to the vets for her annual and shot update.

Love the pictures @1oldparson. Your dog had a busy week and tomorrow will be too. She looks so cute ... but ... also has this look of "bows, seriously?" Ha ha.
Our Sunday involved shoveling snow once again and a walk in the woods where Lucy and Hubby go daily -- I join on weekends. Thank goodness Lucy stops occasionally to check on me and makes sure I am vertical and still walking. 💞 Afternoon involves some resting by the fire and watching TV (for them). I am doing taxes and GR forum. 😎

She went with me to get a haircut. I’m glad she did. She gonna have to work on not eating hair. 🤣🤣🤣 Every time it would fall near her, she thought she was being tossed a treat.

But, all in all she did great. She wasn’t bothered by the noise of the hair dryers or the kids crying because they were scared of the scissors.

8 more months until turn-in, so we got time to stop eating hair.

I love reading this thread and seeing everyone's pictures! Hallie I did the same things today as I usually say- we went out to a walking trail. I also played training games with her in my and used the duck dummy. We worked on continuing to build impulse control and recalls, and she brought me a cheetos wrappers that floated over the fence from the neighbor kids. I saw her grab it and gave her the same "bring it!" command I use for a bumper or the duck dummy, and she ran straight over. I was disproportionately excited about this since the agility incident, lol.

Well, the forecasters said it was going to rain buckets all day today, so we bumped up our weekly Monday lunchtime play date with Bitsy’s best friend Perry to yesterday. (Of course it hasn’t rained a drop today and sometimes I think they don’t know what’s going to happen until it actually does!)

I have mentioned Perry before; she is the chocolate lab of one of my oldest and dearest friends who lives close by. She’s a month younger than Bitsy, and they are totally on the same page as playmates. When Perry comes over Bitsy is so excited - she knows her name, and I can’t even say “the P word” until we get the “on our way” text.

The girls had a great time as always, running and rolling in a dog ball. They were both covered in dirt/mud/leaves and each other’s slobber and had to have baths afterwards. I am usually quick to defend Bitsy when my husband says she stinks but in this instance I had to agree that he was absolutely correct.

Here is a funny snap from yesterday - Bitsy will follow her BFF anywhere, even blindfolded!

Went to the vet. Everything up to date now and she’s 56 lbs (59 lbs 3 years ago at last rabies shot). Then we went and bought a bag of food and another bag of treats. Interesting, she insisted on heeling on me even though my wife was holding the leash and wouldn’t let her go off and get the treats while I got the food. Now we’re just chilling.

I went on strike today - 40+ mph winds making it feel 20 degrees colder than it really is. We didn’t go anywhere except for our own backyard, and in quick bursts. I HATE the winter. Stick a fork in me today, I’m done. I don’t know how those of you in even colder climates do it. Hats off for keeping all of your marbles. March makes me just want to get in my car and start driving south.

^^ ETA: Turned on the national news and looks like storms are bad in New England. Hope everyone up there is hunkered down, and retains power. I guess I have quite little to complain about in contrast!

Today Denver and Tucker both got to run outside for about 2 hours. It was 45degrees at around 2 pm but it was 10 degrees this morning. Denver is driving me crazy, bad idea to bell train, she figured out if she wants her diaper off she rings the bell only another week of it being on hopefully. They both had a short 15 minute training session.
