We went to a preserve. This is Okehocking Preserve in Newtown Square, PA.

We went on a nice off leash jaunt in the woods. I didn’t take photos, which is unusual. Right now I’m babysitting:

Adler rolls his cars and Logan retrieves them. Adler got distracted by a vampire cartoon, but my boy is still focused. Lol

Logan also approves of Rex-E the dinosaur. Abby is injured, but everyone is being very good about being gentle around her. Grace is getting really good at giving Logan commands. She got him to get on the couch, sit, and then to lie down.

Love all the snow pics! I wish it would snow here. It’s been the rainiest winter ever.

Tried to play fetch, but eating dirt and moss was more fun. Buffy ran across the yard without permission to greet the neighbor, then another neighbor.

Went for a car ride and peed outside a store, then had to stop on the way home to poop.

Practiced calmness while near one of the cats and did very well.

Practiced a few other things, and enjoyed one of his new toys.

I'm envious of all the snow pictures!

My pup enjoyed his Friday. Dipped his paws in the stream, got the zoomies, took a nap in his crate for 3 hours, chewed on some tendon, took an evening stroll around the neighborhood, ate dinner in a couple layers of rolled up blankets. Now he's content for the day.

I did not take any pictures, but we went on a walk, then had a CGC class. We have our test in 3 weeks! 🤞

Played lots of fetch and worked on CDX training. Specifically offleash heeling, drop on recall, stand stay, and command discrimination. Slowly starting to introduce the concept of delayed rewards. Today’s reward was more fetch. 🥰

We had a bitterly cold and snowy December, followed by a remarkably warm January. A couple weeks ago, I hauled out jumps, a tunnel, and the weave poles. I spent some time today doing a little agility training. No contact equipment; the cold and snow are expected to roll back in, starting tomorrow.

The downside of the above-freezing temps is that the fields around the house are muddy quagmires. We took our evening walk anyway. The dogs need their run and I need my walk. Notice the muddy boots. My floors are a mess right now.

A friend set up some Scent Work searches at a school. Two of the searches were outside and three were in an auditorium.
The first exterior scent vessel was under the lip of a lost property box containing lost lunch boxes. Schools over here have been on holiday since before Christmas, so the dirty lunch boxes were probably stinky to a dog’s nose. 😅 Surprisingly, three dogs found that scent vessel. Eva and two other dogs did not, although Eva was successful later when I came back and let her search off-leash.
Eva was successful in all the other searches.
I didn’t get photos there, so I stopped at a park on the way home, ran some searches (which were also successful) and took photos of her nose-on-odour indications.

We also did a big long walk - half off leash, half on. And there was lots of rolling in snow and eating of snow! I regret that I didn't take photos (it was too cold to take my mitts off!).

We went to the field a bit further from our home to do some field training as we do every morning. Actually the picture was more about the sky than Ramses...

Then after practice, we decided to tan because our pink noses needed it 😂 all before the chilly weather is supposed to set in. A toddler was learning to walk so Ramses was watching that while I had my breakfast.. (note the clean deck - our royal highness only lays on clean surfaces 🤦🏽‍♀️)

After 2.5 hours, we got home and he is snoozing. We will be out later again - we are hoping for some snow fall 😅

Today we went to the park, then we practiced our loose-leash walking, and then drove through Starbucks for a good-girl pup cup. Now we’re fixing to take a Saturday nap. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!
