It's been warm and humid for the past few days and I haven't been taking Chloe for her usual lengthy walks. When my girl is bored she gets very mischievous and starts chasing the cats, so I needed to figure out how she could have fun and get some exercise safely.

As I drove by a nearby dollar store yesterday I saw that they were having a sale on plastic baby pools, so I stopped in and bought 4 of them. When I got home I placed them in various spots in our back yard and filled them up with the hose. I then let Chloe outside and she ran around sniffing the pools and licking water. I threw a ball into one of the pools and she immediately went in after it. In no time she was running wildly around the yard, jumping from pool to pool as she went. Chloe played in the water for a long time, and not only was it a hilarious sight to see, she got some much-needed exercise and stimulation. At the end of the day my wet & happy golden flopped on the floor and got a nice towel rub and brushing, her tongue lolling out and her eyes glazed with happiness.

That sounds like such fun! It's always nice to have a tired, but happy pup at the end of the day. :)

Ditto what OutWest said. I never thought of multiple baby pools. Excellent idea!
