Bella came home Sunday, and was a champ for her 10 hour car ride from Tennessee to Virginia. She's a bit small for her age at only 5 lbs/8 weeks old, but is eating her food, has lots of spunk, and is adapting well to city life. She was second smallest in a litter of 10, but seems healthy and happy--the breeder said she was confident but not aggressive, and very sweet, which are holding true. She's been such a joy to have around. Even our cat doesn't mind her much which was a good surprise!
Per the breeder, she's not allowed on grass yet since she's only had one round of vaccines, so our building's visitor parking lot is her bathroom (we clean up I swear... it's better than the busier sidewalk out front). Potty training is going so-so, but we'll get there. She seems to know to poop outside, the peeing is 50/50 if we make it out. Her first vet appointment with us is on Friday, so we'll get her full vaccine schedule then hopefully.
Bella is a common name, but we wanted something that combined our family's heritage (my partner is Latino, and Bella means beautiful in Spanish) with her background (Southern, so Southern Belle), so Bella it is!
