I noticed this hard, dry spot on the side of Apple's nose tonight - I took the best picture I could with a moving puppy.

It's definitely bothering her - she's been rubbing her nose on the floor and when you touch it she's bothered. I don't think it's a bite - it's more pimple-like but it's just pink and hard.

Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!!

Bumping up...any thoughts?? It's a hard picture to see but it's about the size of a pencil tip eraser and is whiteish pink - right on the side of her nose.

No idea? Could be a bite or a painful pimple? I don't know if dogs get zits, but I have seen things like that on my dogs before and they just went away in a day or two and never caused any problems.

My dog Chance had these I would use a warm compress and they would eventually drain it's like a pimple but be on the safe side and see your vet .

I would take her to the vet to be on the safe side. It could be an ingrown hair or a bite. Since she is messing with it, you might give her a little bendryl to stop the itching.

My guess would be a blocked hair follicle or sebaceous gland. You can certainly try warm compresses, but it may need to be lanced and cleaned out.
