Why would you repeat such a pairing?

Oh Yeah it's because.....

Our Goldens represent the finest available champion bloodlines from the conformation ring to the obedience trial.

What's a HMH? I looked on Google and AKC and can't find what that means.

When the second litter was bred the first was only a year old so they probably didn't have OFA ratings yet.
Most people I know would do at least a prelim on a pup or two from the first litter before repeating it again. If they had done so a second litter of dyplastic puppies may not have been produced.

HMH is an abbreviation of the kennel name, not a title.

As for the info on OFA, there are no words

Lovely....
They also breed Golden-Newfs but fear not....their Newf stud is "also available for pure-bred stud services to approved Newfoundland bitches"

Wow! I can't believe that pre-lims weren't done either.

The puppy in the link's dam had parents with "excellent" and "good" hips, too. The sire isn't in the OFA database as far as I could see.

Newf-golden crosses- what's next? Seriously. Grr
