My poor boy is not doing very well.
This morning he had some diarrhea but had normal energy. We played and ran around at the park. I left for school and crated him.
I was gone 3 hours when I came home to the nastiest smell. Vito had the worst diarrhea in his crate I had ever seen plus he had vomited. Vito NEVER vomits. The poor guy was standing there in his feces drooling.
We tried to clean him up and he vomited in the bathtub 2 more times. He was jumping at the door so we took him out where he continued to have bad diarrhea with bright red blood. We decided to rush him to the emergency vet hospital in Davis. He passed bloody stool again in the parking lot. In the waiting room he vomited 6 more times over the span of about 45 minutes. He is very lethargic and wouldn't even attempt to get up to greet anybody.
He is now being hospitalized and is on an IV for dehydration, plus some meds to settle his tummy.
I am VERY, VERY worried and would appreciate any prayers, thoughts, and advice. Vito has been such a healthy dog. I wonder what could have brought all this on.
