We will be getting our new Golden puppy next week. Can anyone recommend a veterinarian in the Fairfield Connecticut area, also a 24 hour veterinary hospital?

I'm too far away to be of any help. Tucker was a Greenwich dog the first year of his life. Then he came our way. Is your breeder located in Fairfield? If so, the breeder may be able to make good suggestions. Maybe even the local GR club.

In Ridgefield (maybe a drive) There is Cliff Hedinger he is on Main Street in downtown ridgefield. I have been going to him since I was 5.

When I move to white plains, NY I will still take my dogs to him. I adore him.

At 14 I took hamsters to him and he made it cost effective and has always been there no matter what I bring through the door.

I do know of one in Fairfield but would have to ask my friend who takes all her animals there (3 cats, 3 dogs) and they have great discounts for rescues and multiple animals but I will look that up for you.

There are some great vets in Fairfield. I don't have any personal experience with any of them, I hope someone from that area will chime in here.

As for emergency clinics, I have had personal experience with VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center in Shelton. They are absolutely great. They have vets on staff that specialize in different areas and they are pleasant to work with.
