I just made another pot of Spot's stew recipe but made some changes since I didn't have all the ingredients. Now I realize I may have a problem with too much Vitamin A?

How much is too much? I may try adding more ingredients to offset the amount of Vitamin A...

- 1 whole chicken (including liver/gizzard)
- 1/2 lb butternut squash (fresh)
- 1/2 lb carrots

- 3/4 lb celery
- 1/2 lb green beans
- 1/4 lb zuchini
- 1 cup chickpeas
- 1 cup rice

While certain levels of vitamins are a waste, you have to really try hard to give an amount that is dangerous. I highly doubt the vitamin A levels in carrots and other vegetables is an issue. Your dog could get orange skin though.

There is probably much more vitamin A in kibble.
