Is that you in that video Stephanie? I had to admit I was cringing seeing that little tyke holding the leash alone with that dog. Though the dog was amazingly behaved - little guys parents are very lucky and blessed.

Great pointers - my son was 5 when Griff entered our family and he was not allowed to play alone with Griff at all - even now..(son is 8/Griff is 3) I'm just letting Griff go out with my son and his friend alone.. but I'm keeping an eye on them at a distance from the back door. You still have to watch - accidents happen.

Griff for some reason is amazing with children - he will greet them at the door, sometimes they have to push by him a bit to get in but that's about it. From there he leaves them alone unless they call him.

Adults... Oy! He's a terrible goofball with adults!

Yup. That's me!

Yeah, I cringed too. They didn't shoot that when I was there for the filming; the reporter went back and shot more b-roll another day b/c that familiy is her neighbor. I saw it today and was like, "Um, that doesn't really jive with the advice I'm giving!" but I'm sure plenty of people would do that and since the adults were there watching, they'd consider it "supervision." Fortunately, the dog, JJ, is sweet, old and very mellow.

That's the hard part of doing the segments - I can't totally control what's shot or shown to accompany my advice. Most of the time they pretty much coincide, but every now and again we'll get a bit of a disconnect.

That was so great! Perhaps I should forward this on to a certain BIL I know... hmm...

How often do you do these segments?
Thanks! I do them twice a week; on Mondays and Wednesdays. We've been doing them since July! I'm really excited that the station has chosen to keep it up. You can see the other ones on my website: www.caninesteintraining.com.
