This thread is two fold.
One - Koda has been throwing up bile at about 4:00 am the last couple nights and I feel terrible for her. She has had these issues in the past but we would increase her food and she would be better. We don't want to increase her food because we are pretty sure she is getting enough, just not close enough to bed. We are planning to split her dinner up into two parts now - one at our normal dinner time of 6/6:30 and then the other half at like 8:30/9:00. Does this sound like it would help?
Second - we told the vet that she was getting a banana/applesauce frozen kong each night topped with a bit of peanut butter to close it. They said we shouldn't be giving her that every night. Is there something wrong with them having banana and applesauce each night? I assumed it was a good treat, and she loves it. We usually gave it to her as our way of saying time to wind down. After she finished that she would typically go and lay down/sleep for the night. What do you all do with kong treats? Are they every day or night or more random treats?
Thanks in advance for any input, we greatly appreciate it!
I should add, right now we are using the larger kong, one option would be maybe go back to the smaller kong so it isn't as much banana/applesauce..?
Thanks!
