Today was the first day Finn did NOT bark at the vacuum cleaner. I swept a little on the slow side and gave him cheerios every so often. I also praised him for not barking. He is such a barker in general, so this was a big accomplishment. He now doesn't bark at the blender or vacuum .... hooray.
Now, if I could stop him from barking at everyone and thing that passes our window and when he wants attention in the evening, we will be in good shape.
We still have other issues we are working on, but at least we are moving in the right direction.

Hmmm ... umbrellas, I'm pretty sure he would bark at those. Sometimes he barks at random objects left in people's yards too. The other day he barked at a tricycle left in the front lawn..... so weird.

Sam freaks out when I vacuum... he growls and snarls at it and barks his head off... the hose attachment really gets to him.

and I think if my dogs ever saw an umbrella they'd both really spaz out.... I don't even own an umbrella! LOL
