does any1 have a stubbon goldie, angel is the most stobbon dog i have ever known, i will give her a command n she will look up slightly like she is ignoring u but is listin, (kinda like kids do) then eventully after you wait she will do what you said.

is there any other goldies out there like that or just mine

I think they all have that from time to time. I find that always having a reward really helps to get the reaction you want helps.

ya she is fine with commands when i have treats, but with toys she will sit n paw but wont lay down lol, but with my mum or sister trying it she wont do any of it lol, she just has that look on her face

Yep, sounds like my Bella, i will stand at the back door call her and she looks at me then carrys on what with she was doing.

Then all of a sudden she will trot down the path with a big grin on her face.

Boy I'm so glad to see this post. Penny's been through training and has earned her CGC but forgot all of it unless we have her training leash on and even then it's maybe she will and maybe she won't.

How long are they teenagers for????????? Penny's going to be 2 yrs old next month

Ruby is 2 years old and that girl has a mind of her own. I have never seen anything like her. Even with a treat!!

i think they get out of there teenage years at bout 3. yas i ment stubborn sorry for alot of spelling mistakes i might make im slightly dyslixic,

but ya hopefully angel will grow out of it. so i can have her off the lead and stuff. round where i live the only goldies i see of the lead are old ones, so im wondering if this stage does pass and it happens in most goldens cos she will be a good behavioured dog once that stage has gone.:

No treats will get Moose inside if he thinks that he is not being given enough time to play. When called he will lower his head, look to the side as if he's pondering what to do. He will then lie down and pout like a kid.

they dont put this in the breed standard do they lol, looks like alot of them are the same. but she wouldnt be angel if she didnt do it, no1 can see how i keept calm with her when she does this, but i know she will do it eventually do it.
