I know this is a dog forum, but my cats are part of my family too and I love showing em off! All of them are rescued or adopted kitties. They all have Catster profiles that have the story of their rescues.

Brooke
http://www.catster.com/cats/629840

The oldest at 12 yrs old. Was rescued as a kitten from crown heights, brooklyn, which is where her name comes from. She is the self appointed Queen of the house and dislikes all of the other animals. She is tolerant of the male cat (Maus) but thats about it, lol.

Chloe
http://www.catster.com/cats/630273

Was found with her son, Maus, abandoned near a ditch. A very sweet, albeit a little shy, cat who loves attention and loves being with people. I wish i knew more of her history and why someone would abandon such a sweet and playful little cat. Chloe was diagnosed with FELV in January and is doing OK so far :crossfing

Maus

Maus has been through a lot in his 4 years of life. He needed emergency surgery as a 6 month old kitten because of an intestinal blockage, and has had 2 urinary blockages. He's an exceptionally affectionate cat and is very attached to me. Likes to follow me around all over the house and loves his feline housemates - even Brooke, who hates him.

Gabielle and Helene-Iris

9 year old sisters who I adopted in May from a cat sanctuary. Very vocal, people-loving, playful, VOCAL cats! Purr machines! They have taken very well to their new home and fit right in. Helene-Iris (aka Birdie) is a little more pushy than her sister, who is more low-key and prefers laying on laps to Birdie's chosen job of being always on the move. And both of them have extra toes.

Gabielle:

Sable:

Sable went to the Rainbow Bridge in April of this year. She came into our lives as a stray. We hadn't been looking for another cat, but Sable was the type of cat who wouldn't ever take no for an answer. A very bold, mischievous, vocal, social cat who loved being in the middle of everything, and loved to play with her best friend Maus. I miss her tremendously and think of her often.

They are all gorgeous. I have my favorites: Brooklyn -love her 2nd picture-my boy says she is beautiful. Love the picture of Chloe and Maus snuggling together. She really looks small to be a mommy. Gabrielle and Birdie are just stunning. I am sorry about Sable. She is one of my favorite type of cat.

I love cats and have three of my own in addition to my four dogs. Samantha is 15, George is 8 and Starr will be 4 end of this month. All are pound kitties except for Starr she was found under a dumpster at 4 weeks old.

They are all beautiful! We have 4 cats who we love dearly. We lost our oldest, Max, almost exactly a year ago. He was just about to turn 7 on Christmas. He passed away at home and we have no idea why. We miss him so much.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sable. She looked EXACTLY like our 8-month-old Russian Blue/Maine **** mix, Eddie! We got him back in April when he was 8 weeks old. His mother is a full Russian Blue and his father a full mackerel Maine ****. He is ALWAYS getting into trouble and is the loudest, most vocal cat I have ever owned! Just this past weekend he somehow managed to open the pantry door and tore open a huge brand new bag of cat food and was sitting in the hole that he made eating out of the bag. I'm seriously dreading his first time being around a Christmas tree this year. I have a feeling that it won't be too pretty. :uhoh:

Our other cats are Bailey (6), Scooter (4), and Abby, a black Maine **** who we adopted from the shelter right after Max died and she is 2. We have had Bailey and Scooter since they were little kittens.

This is Eddie when he was about 3-4 months old!

A great family. It's good to see rescues like this. Three holloweens ago, some young kids burnt an old hay barn next door. The next spring I noticed lots of cats hanging around. Since I already had two cats and Riley, our GR, I couldn't take in any more. I did mange to find homes for three and one had to go straight to the vet college. They were all pretty much a bag of bones, but one did go to my wife's sister, which i see quite often, and ****, I'm kicking my butt for not keeping this little gem.

All the cats are beautiful! I hope you have many wonderful years with them. I guess we are down to one cat now. Buster has gone missing and it's killing us. We still have his sister. They turned 15 in May.

Enjoy each other...
