IMO, some people just have too much money waiting to be spent. I don't believe cloning
will achieve the same dog, physically maybe, but what they experience in life makes them the dog they ultimately are. Those experiences can never be exactly duplicated.

I agree.
I can understand why someone would want to do it, and I'd never criticize anyone who does. But personally, I think it's too creepy. For me, cloning my dogs would be doing them a disservice. The love I have for them is so intense partly because they are here for such a short time and partly because they're such unique beings. If I could just go out and 'make another one just like him', it would take away from that and cheapen the relationship. Just my opinion.
