After these months of dealing with puppy behavior...

Yesterday after work, I fell asleep on the couch with our pup laying with me with his head on my chest as we took a nap together. It was sweet! He is so loveable and wants to be near us all the time. All the puppy work is worth it when they get older and are more tolerable and loveable. I wouldn't trade him for the world!!

Ahhh yes.... I love this. Jake is just getting there himself. Last night, I went to sleep in a foul mood. I was having a rough time with work and kids (two legged) who had been at each others' throats all evening long... why I thought getting an exchange student would be a good idea (it really is, but I never knew having two children would be this much work ::sigh:.

Anyway... I go to bed grumbling and exhausted. I wake up with the alarm clock but can't reach it. I have a golden up against my tummy with his chin resting on top of my head (yeah, he's huge), a small cat at the nape of my neck all curled up and snuggly, and another cat sleeping on my side. I was surrounded by fluffy love. What could ever be better???

I feel sorry for the people who don't understand how wonderful animals are.

I have to admit, I use to say "he's not allowed on the furniture". :uhoh:
Well now, I can't imagine him NOT on the furniture cuddling with us. I read on here about a golden not being cuddly with its owner so it made me grateful that our pup is a loveable so now I let him up so that we can take advantage of his dog hugs. :bowl:

Our pup is a big boy too; he's 60lbs.

you have to love how snuggly they are. Luck is always snuggling. My son was very sick this past week and could not use his inhalers (asthma) so he had to use his nebulizer. Lucky was so confused by this machine. So he would not leave my sons side! Put his head right on his belly and watched. It was the sweetest thing. (especially since Lucky always ignores Collin since he is so small)

Too bad for that crazy puppy stage because I wish I would had enjoyed him as much as I do now that he is 5 months and heavy...

I'm waiting for this stage with Scout. He's 4 months old and just wanting to chew on everything now that his adult teeth are coming in. I'm counting the days till that it done and we can start to really enjoy him!

I know what you're going thru. I made sure that he had alot to chew on. Always has a marrow bone and just recently I got a sting-ray tail from the pet store. It stinks but he loves it!
