Probably gained a half a pound in that short video.
Probably gained a half a pound in that short video.I have to admit that lab shocked me. It was so tubby.
This one could have survived the Titanic sinking, if the sudden activity from swimming didn't cause cardiac arrest.Don’t you know they need all that fat to keep them warm in the icy waters 😉
A few dogs that fat onboard would’ve sunk the Titanic before it hit the iceberg. This one could have survived the Titanic sinking,
Yeah I struggle to understand that. People KNOW it's so unhealthy and dangerous but do it anyway.I just find it so sad, in my years of dog sitting, there were very few dogs that weren't overfed , and every one of the owners understood that it's unhealthy to say the least, but the will to keep the dogs at a healthy weight just didn't seem to be there and the "treats" just kept coming.![]()
Unfortunately, there are many that do nothing with their dogs aside from go for walks, feed them and give them treats.Yeah I struggle to understand that. People KNOW it's so unhealthy and dangerous but do it anyway.
If it's not geofenced to North America, you can see her here (I missed the TV coverage, so went to find it):
If I'm not mistaken (and man, I hope I'm not!), she is at the 6:53 minute mark. So impressive. @JerseyChris , how old was she when she started showing dogs? Does she have a favourite breed?
Just watched your daughter on YouTube and we were so impressed. She has such poise. Loved seeing her handling!Wanted to wish all my GRF friends a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving and if anyone has time to watch the Dog show from 12-2PM tomorrow my daughter will be handling one of our smooth collies and also my rough Collie as well will be in the Herding group.. Here is a pic that was taking of her in the Group

It amazes me how many dogs are way over weight. My wife manages a boarding kennel and it the groomer and I have had to do over there many times to help lift dogs in and out of the tub and on the grooming table. She has a lot of Golden clients and sad to say most are way over weight.I just find it so sad, in my years of dog sitting, there were very few dogs that weren't overfed , and every one of the owners understood that it's unhealthy to say the least, but the will to keep the dogs at a healthy weight just didn't seem to be there and the "treats" just kept coming.![]()
She has more so lately been thinking about that. When she was younger she just wanted to be a Vet so we will see what path she chooses. She is only 12 so there is plenty of time to really think about her career path but which ever way she goes it will most certainly involve dogs.@JerseyChris you must be very proud dad, what a lovely young woman, is she thinking about becoming a professional handler ?
We have had her at dog shows since she was a baby. There is no minimum age to show dogs in the breed ring so she started there around 7-8 a little bit and once she turned 9 she started doing the AKC Junior competition which she can do until her 18th Bday. She was born and raised around Collies but I got the family into Goldens which we all love now so our 2 breeds are Collies and Goldens currently.how old was she when she started showing dogs? Does she have a favourite breed?
