My little Charlie is 8 weeks and everyday since Iv had him at 6 weeks iv walk with him on the wayters edge. This was my stratagy to getting him comfortable with the water. Well the past two times I went with him he started swimming (at 8 weeks old) when I walked out into the water..Is this to young for Charlie to start doing.
I just think hes a little champ!:D

Riley started swimming at the same age. She is now 14 weeks old and I cannot keep her out of the pool. She gets hot and goes for a swim. She gets bored and goes for a swim! Obviously I don't think it's too young. But supervision is a must.

I think (supervised) swimming is excellent exercise for a puppy! Very easy on their joints!!
Supervised swimming is fine. Just make sure that the water is clean.
It sounds like you have a natural there. Now we just need pictures. :p:
