Layla has about two pieces of sutures left on one side of her spay incision... Would you just remove yourself? I really hate to take her in for that, the incision looks great...and of course she is a whole lot better LOL.

Holiday did too. I take them out with toenail clippers (human). I take normal stitches out myself too. I'd never go to a vet for that, assuming things looked good.

They should be easy to remove yourself, just slip right out like they aren't attached to anything. If there is any resistance when you pull though the vet should do it.

I would do it myself if they look like they are all healed up. Actually I lied, I would call my mom (who is a nurse) to come do it for me because I would be too grossed out :)

I'm sure you and your DH can handle it, but as someone already said, it there is resistance I would take her in.
