Hi everyone!

We've been dealing with a stinky butt, aka anal gland, problems for about a month and a half more. Wookie, at almost five months, is on his second course of antibiotics. One gland is getting constantly infected. I've been told to express them every two weeks.

We've switched food to a beef based one that has firmed up his stools and am adding the occasional pumpkin if it looks soft. Any other suggestions for my poor stinky butt? He doesn't act as if it bothers him, but I'm sure he can't be comfy... Not to mention eau de dog butt isn't the best smell for our couch (or my leg.) :p:

You might consider switching from pumpkin to plain unsweetened/unflavored psyllium (Metamucil or health food store stuff) or even use a shredded wheat biscuit.

Some dogs just have that problem down there... my Bridge boy Barkley did all of his life no matter what he did and he had nice solid stools.
