I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for my Halloween costume this year, so I'd like to hear what everyone else is going to be. So far, I'm thinking of being a construction worker. I already have a red flannel shirt...pair that with some skinny jeans and a pair of boots, add a hard hat and tool belt and I'm set. But this is probably taking the easy way out. lol Unless I can convince some friends to go as the rest of the village people....

Anyway, what are you going as for Halloween this year?? Or what have you gone as in the past?? Bonus points for pictures! I'll play first...this is me last year as Robin Hood (with my cousins - an angel of death and a greek goddess). =) Also, just be cause I love the costume, this is my cousin's husband as a "chip-monk". lol

I'm going to be a super poor, stressed out graduate student. I won't bathe or sleep for a week before Halloween in order to really achieve that pathetic, worn-out look that I'll be going for. /debbiedowner

I'm not sure yet. I don't really have anything at home unless I wear my DH's mechanic uniform from his work but it smells haha.

I looked at a few costumes at Wal-Mart but all I could find was skanky versions of everything... I don't want to dress up like a porn star LOL

OMG, I know! I had to buy my costume a couple sizes too big so that it would be long enough to not show my underwear...and I still wore leggings underneath it, just in case. lol

Oh, that's actually a good idea. Maybe I will be an aging porn star. Nope, better just stick with the witch, it comes naturally !:p:

Yeah...that's one thing that's surprised me over the past few years. Halloween seems to have become an excuse for girls and women to dress up in clothing that would otherwise be inappropriate for public consumption.

Yeah, I bought a Narcotics Police costume a couple of years back that was SO SHORT I ended up wearing it as a SHIRT and wore a skirt with it LOL.

I also opted not to wear big hooker boots...

I hate it when Halloween falls on a week day. We probably won't be doing anything.

I gotta admit, in my undergrad years we all dressed like little skanks on Halloween. It's fun! It's like, the one time in the year that you can legitimately dress like a ho and no one criticizes you for it. I've been a ****ty Rainbow Bright, Wonder Woman, and cavewoman. The cavewoman outfit was a big fail b/c everyone assumed I was dressing up as Xena, Warrior Princess since I'm 6' tall.

OP - are you and/or your hubby a geek? My brother and his then-girlfriend (now-wife) dressed up like Link and Zelda one year and it was SO cute. They got a lot of compliments.

I love Halloween, absolutely love it. Second to Christmas of course :) I love to dress up, but always find myself too chicken to, or too cheap to. This year i bought a mardi gras mask and am going to pair it with a dress I already own, and probably so tights underneath. My fiance is going to be Pauly D because we HATE Jersey Shore and its a hilarious way to poke fun at it :) If we go out over the weekend I might just have to buy that Snooki wig so we can be pairs. I love when couples match. If nothing happens tho I love handing out candy to the kids and seeing all of their adorable costumes!

Oh also, Tucker is going to be a Razorback linebacker :)
