So long... goodbye...

I'll start this thread by saying that I've been a bad mommy and didn't post an update on Mia's recovery from her spaying. :uhoh:
She recovered quite well and the vet said the cut healed perfectly. So we're happy with that. She's now able to do everything she could before... run, swim, go to the dog park, etc.

So, this past weekend was a long weekend here in Canada (Thanksgiving) and we went to my DH's parents' cottage to close it up for the season. It's always a sad time of the year. It was quite cold, but despite that, Mia went in the water at least once every day (we were there for 3 days). Here are a few pics of her at the cottage this weekend. The last four are of Mia by the fire on the last day before we left... looks like she's sad and is saying goodbye for this year...

OMG! At first I thought you were leaving the forum... then as I kept reading, I thought that something had happened to Mia!

How sad

Looks like Mia enjoyed her last few days there! I love the pic of her trying to climb the tree

Don't worry, Mia - you'll be back there before you know it!!!

Did you get any snow up there? We were closing ours up in Muskoka in our mittens and scarves while the snow was coming down like crazy!

We didn't get snow, but in the morning there was frost on the ground, and on Sunday it was very windy and cold. It hailed for a bit.

Those were my first two thoughts too! I thought, uh oh, she's leaving the forum, what happened? And then when that didn't seem right and she was talking about Mia's spay, I thought oh no, something happened to Mia. Thank goodness it was just closing up the cabin!

It is sad when you have to say goodbye to summer and all the fun activities. Glad Mia got one last trip to her favorite place till next year.

Mia looks like such a big girl now! She is very pretty and looks like a nice young lady!! Glad to hear everything went well with the spaying procedure.

They are pretty photos. Normally my favorite time of year. But it has rained rained rained for the last 6 weeks. Really messing up my golf.

Aww... She looks so pretty in the leaves. We don't have much of an Autumn here.
