Marley is getting a really bad smell from her private parts it has happened twice now in the past few days . The smell is almost "fishy" hence sardine. My girlfriends samoyed also gets this from time to time and neither of us are sure what it could be. Please help !! Is it something to brijg to the vet or something we can do to stop it ?

It is most likely her anal glands need to be expressed, that is a good description of the smell they give off. Either the vet (or technically the vet tech) or the groomer can do them for you. If the vet offers to teach you how, be wise and say no thank you I'll let you do it!

My adult Golden seems to have problems and a couple of times a year the vet expresses his glands.

A healthy diet and firm stools will usually do this naturally in adult dogs.
