Hi all,

Our dog Henry has recently started eating Royal Canine Golden Retriever and he is loving it and looks great. But, frequently, even with the slow feed bowl, he ends up chocking. Nothing too horrific in the sense that it never lasts too long, but it is stressing us out. And I get up, those pieces of kibble are huge.

We did try soaking but it doesn't change anything, and somehow makes it worst. Any advice on how to handle this? We do not want to change the food because he looks great.

Thank you!
Deborah

If you think it's because of how fast Henry's eating, we ended up splitting Kona's meals into two portions, with 30 minutes between portions. So, first and second breakfast, and first and second dinner. And, we also use the ball-in-the-bowl method to slow her down a bit. The ball-in-the-bowl definitely helps, but it seems like the smaller portions were the real game changer.
