Hi everyone;
My 8 yr old neutered male has a lump mid way between his left eye and nose (see image). The lump is also noticeable under the lip but does not seem attached like you would expect to see in an infected tooth.
This lump comes and goes...the first few times I saw them I thought they were insect stings, but since they show up in the same spot, it can't be that.It is more noticeable inside the mouth.
Weight and appetite are unchanged and moderate pressure gets no pain reaction.
They blow up in about 24 hours and are gone about 5 days later.
I cant imagine a recurrent abscess of a tooth since he is still working his pressed rawhide as hard as normal.
On the opposite side of his face is an identically located but smaller lump...both have always been there and I imagine is part of the jaw structure.
What can come and go very quickly like this? I imagine it is rather harmless and cannot find anything that seems to be a trigger.
Thanks for any help
