Well, it came back and in another area also so our baby Dallas had surgery again (within a 2 week span). This time they removed the gland totally.....Let me tell you guys, these are not cheap surgeries either =( First ran us $1500.00, this one was $3000.00....BESIDES the obviously money thing, we will have to make sure he doesnt open his sutures on his neck. Please pray for his speedy recovery!!

I am so sorry he had to have another surgery. Hopefully this will take care of the problem and he can get all healed up. Prayers for a full recovery.

So sorry he had to have more surgery! Those specialists are really expensive, but that seems very high. Did they quote you that price beforehand? Abby's Gastropexy (stomache tack) was only $900.

I'm hoping he gets better fast!

Yeah I heard my specialist was EXPENSIVE....unfortunally his is the only one within our area that does this type of surgery....they are 2 hours away from us. The $1500.00 to open the wound and stich it open seemed very high, especially since even doing that it didnt last 11 days!!! I guess they know that they are the only ones around here to do that so they charge whatever they want =( I think its time to get Dallas some insurance!!! LOL Atleast I know that either #1 we will be covered if and when he has another issue OR #2 Since we get insurance he will be perfectly healthy and will have no problems (doesnt this always happen?!?) haha

prayers for dallas. is he home yet? or overnight at the vet?

beth, moose and angel
We picked him up yesterday after work....he is doing well, he has about a 3 inch insision on his neck near his jaw, so we just need to make sure that does not get infected or scrached at. Just a reminder that if your pup ever gets this...opt for the surgery to just take the daym thing out...I hated him having to go through 2 surgeries in a matter of 11 days...he just slept last night, didnt even get up to eat (which is so unlike him) but he was just exhausted....
