Hello All,

Quick question: Due to my puppy's recessed vulva, the vet urged us to let her go through one heat cycle suggesting that it may help reduce some of the many problems she is facing. We have listened, and she is in heat now.

She started bleeding yesterday, and today has been quite lethargic and generally quiet. Is this normal as part of the heat cycle? Should we be concerned? Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My daughter had two female that done that, they would just lay around and she was worried also, but the vet told her it was part of it.

A bitches first heat can be stressful, just keep an eye on her and make sure you watch her when she's outside. Those boys can smell them from miles away!! :)

Those pesky boys can be quite persistant...breaking down, digging under and jumping over fences. Be sure to keep her on leash
