Members who feed PPP salmon &rice adult to their godlens - how many cups a day you feed ? I have a female who weigh 64 pounds. She gets 2 cups a day but she seems hungrier & not satisfied !!!!
Previously she was on PPP chicken and rice, she was fine with 2 cups a day on that.


I am puzzled.

I feed my three females PPP Salmon & Rice. They get 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup in the evening. I've fed this amount for years. They are always hungry no matter how much they eat. I think most goldens are like that.

I have a one year old male and he gets 4 cups per day but is quite active

I feed my 45 pound (petite) girl 1 cup in the morning and one cup for dinner, plus lots of training treats. Her weight is very stable, but she is ALWAYS happy to eat. Including grass in the yard.

I don’t use this dog food that’s mentioned, but i aswell feed my female (54) and my male (74) 2 cups a day, if she’s still hungry i’d recommend adding toppers like and egg, spinach, and probably a little bit of chicken and some blueberries! But Golden Retrievers are natural foodies and could probably eat your whole pantry if they had the chance. Your dogs weight seems great i would just keep doing what you’re doing. PS- i think chicken might just be more filling for dogs

I also have a petite female (45 pounds) - she is nearly 10 years old but still quite active. She gets a scant cup, twice a day of PP SSS salmon and rice.

I see you in my 55 and 58 pound retrievers between 2 1/2 and 3 cups of PPP 3020 chicken and rice. They are extremely active. It really makes no difference what anyone else feeds or how hungry your dog acts. He's too thin feed a little more if he gets chubby feed less.
