Hi everyone!
Our GR puppy is coming home in 3 weeks and this forum has been a lifesaver.
We live in a condo and had initially planned on taking our puppy down to the street for potty breaks straight away and not using puppy pads to avoid confusion, however I've been pretty concerned about the risk of parvo.
Over the last few months with the cold winter and the uptick in dog owners, our neighborhood has been plagued with people not picking up after their dogs - it's all over sidewalks and also on the grassy areas. I was thinking about using our balcony until she has had all her shots, or at least until she has had two rounds of shots and then trying to take her to a cleaner spot? We would still "take" her out on a leash, but she would be going on a puppy pad. Is this going to be a huge setback to potty training, or does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
Thanks!
