Does anyone (members, mods or admin) know if it is possible to invite members to join a GRF community social group on here? If yes, how?

Do you mean to 'send' an invitation, like a friend 'invite'?
I don't know. Maybe posting this Thread and suggesting the group you'd like to organize in this thread will work as an invite.

If it is an already established social group, the moderator issues the invite. Or, you can have the person you would like to beinvited contact the moderator and ask to be added.

Ahh ok, that's what I was thinking. I know that members can join without having to be approved but I didn't know if I could send invites if I'm not the moderator for it.

It's for the Ontario members, so maybe I'll mention it in our meet-up thread.
