Yesterday when Jack was at my sister's house he pulled a towel off a chair and int he process the chair fell on his front right paw. Apparently he didn't put any weight on it for a couple minutes; then hobbled around for a couple minutes and then returned to normal puppy playing/running/walking. I put pressure on it last night and it didn't seem to bother him but I'm concerned it could be broken. Do dogs generally walk on a broken paw or would he still be at least hobbling?

I would imagine if it still hurt him, he wouldn't put any pressure on it while walking. Keep an eye on him and if he starts to limp, take him in for an xray. Good luck.

I don't think he would be walking on it if it was broken.

Thanks for the input. We're going for his 12 week checkup on saturday anyway, so I may have the vet do an xray to be sure. Poor little guy :(

I agree. Puppies are pretty tough so if he starts favoring it then I would get it xrayed.
