Next summer, I HOPE we can do something we have been dreaming of for years. We want to take Brooks with us to Nova Scotia, and rent a place for a few weeks. I am looking at the VRBO site for places and there seem to be lots of possibilities.
Many years ago, we did a camping vacation with our two sons, starting at a northwest point, going up to Cape Breton, looping around and then down to Peggy's Cove etc.
Does anyone have any experience taking a dog into Canada from the US for about a month? What would I need to do? We will drive.

Taking a dog to Canada is pretty darned easy. I would be surprised if they even ask to see the paperwork. I hope you plan on crossing into Canada at the Calais Maine/St Stephen NB crossing so you can stop and meet Oakly and Caue.

We last visited Nova Scotia about 15 years ago so I am pretty rusty on the geography. I know we camped at Desert of Maine campground, then passed through New Brunswick en route to Nova Scotia. Is that the place you are describing?
We would love to meet you guys if our trip pans out!

Calais is on the route between SC and NS. If they give Brooks any trouble I can smuggle him across the river in my boat.
