Hey Guys,

Please send some pawsitive thoughts & prayers my end to Lady Antonia Fraser. She's crashing. Have an appiontment tomorrow for her at the Vets but have just left another message to see if my vet can come to see us. I'm sleep deprived as is & I don't know how tonight is going to go? She vomitted everything thing she had tonight in her.

A worried Mum. Hope perhaps it's a case of Pancreatitis versus the Cancer.

Thanks folks for all your wonderful pawsitive thoughts, best wishes & prayers.
Boy it was a hairy ride this morning! I have about a 35-40 minute commute to my Vets. Half way through Lady Antonia started vomitting bile big time! I couldn't pull over & I drive a stick-shift so it was a challenge to say the least driving and trying to help Antonia though this. And the smell in the car! I just knuckled down and when I could, floored the acelerator. If a cop had pulled me over I'm sure they would have let me off & escorted me to the Vets.

Anyhow, her temperature was normal & she's put on 5 pounds in weight. Yeah on that one! We did a full blown blood panel and all that's off sinc slightly are her liver enzymes and red blood cell count, to be expected with what she's going through. We for now are treating this as a GI tract/pancreatitus situation. She's been on Prednisone for over 4 months and this does happen even though I give her Formamtidine with the Prednisone and with a meal.

She was given injectable Formatidine & fluids. Tonight I have to try and see if she'll eat good old brown rice & chicken broth and get more Formantidine in her?

Having said all of this and trying to sound somewhat chipper she's not doing OK. I wish she'd just curl up on a dog bed or the furniture and get some much needed rest & sleep. I know she feels soooo lousy! My Vet who I really like will either be getting back to me tomorrow or his Asssociate. His Associate did an intern at UNC State in the onclogy department. John is also going through the same stuff. His dog has Lymphoma & also Leukaemia.

So there you have it. Again thank you so much for all your responses. Prayers are still needed. I'll keep you posted. Oh, I do know one thing that my Vet & I did not discuss because he knows that I know! And that is we still might have to do an X-Ray. Bloodwork says one thing, X-Rays another. But surely if there is a tumor (oh I forgot, her lymphnodes are OK) her red & white blood cell would be bouncing all over the place? Thoughts and experience on that issue would be most appreciated.

Thanks so much again.

Annie,

I have been following this thread. I am so sorry for what you are going through. I recently went through it with my Maxine. She had osteosarcoma, these illness suck the life out of you. You just want to make your dog better. I do understand.

At the risk of sounding gloom and doom, what is going on with your dog is how the end came for Max. It happened so fast for her. She was fine, then she was not. I want you to know here in MI you have someone thinking about you. Hope you can pull her through this.

Ann
