For me, it’s a dog that isn’t bred with any particular purpose (like conformation or field) except to be a pet, so there are no overwhelmingly stand out characteristics for right type of golden retriever

Based on the above, it should be obvious that you have a show bred golden.

Why are you asking if he is a show or field bred dog???

Separately - been biting my tongue all day on this trying to figure out a good way to ask, but does your dog lick his feet? He looks like he has yeasty paws + there's a rub spot on his muzzle.

Im wondering the same and now thinking I should’ve bit my tongue and stayed quiet 😂
