Hello! I needed a little advice on what the best food to feed my puppy! I have been feeding him open farm but my vet said any grain free food is not good for any dogs so I am unsure if I should buy him grain free foods or find him something else. She also said raw food can cause heart issues or something like that so I am a bit confused and was interested in some advice and recommendations! Thank you

I'm always surprised to find people want the opinions of random strangers on the internet more than listening to their own board certified veterinary professional. It's been well established for years now that for some reason, dogs on grain free diets, especially those high in pulses and legumes, are experiencing higher rates of dilated cardiomyopathy. Trust your vet, and if you don't, find a new one that you do.
