I took the boys for a hike through the woods to a little beach to start off the year on a good note. I also wanted them to be bit tired for their trip to the boarding facility for a one night sleepover while I continue on to Boston for a meeting.

Awesome photos! I love the first one the best, they look so free! I can't believe I can see ice! It was almost 65 degrees here, just south of Charlotte today, unbelievable. Our high will be 25 degrees colder by Tuesday though, much more appropriate for us in January.

Not a lot of New Years Day's are spent at the beach here in Maine. I'm sure the boys and I will be in the deep freeze of Van Buren soon enough. I wonder where I can find snow shoes for dogs. LOL.
