I need a bit of advice on this one, feel kinda stupid even asking this but thought I should just in case something is wrong.

Kiera is now 17 months old and full of energy, bouncing all over the place constantly, not off her food. I have noticed over the last few weeks her nose seems to be turning more pink than the wee black nose she has had. This is the first dog I have had so not sure if this is normal as she matures into an adult.

Any advice would be appreciated

Cheers:doh:

Not sure where you live, but as the days get shorter, and colder, pigment lightens - it's also called snow or winter nose. It is from a lack of natural vitamin D (as produced by sunlight). It may come back completely black, or, not entirely. Each dog is different.

Thank you for this reply, We live in Scotland, dark at 4.00pm and not light until 09.00am and yes we do have lack of sunshine. That explains why this has just happened in the past few weeks, until then it was fairly warm and sunny. Mind at ease now,
Thanks
Mary and Kiera:wavey:
